Research indicates that students who have certain life skills, including self-regulation, are more likely to achieve higher levels of academic success, have increased levels of effort and motivation, and are better prepared for class. Historically, educational institutions have found it challenging to teach these skills. Rhithm partners with schools to provide a simple tool to support students’ ability to recognize how they are feeling while equipping them with skills and strategies to be stronger learners in and outside of the classroom.
In partnership with schools, our mission is to provide an efficient tool that will allow educators to more effectively support the well-being of the next generation.
The platform selects and launches an ideal 1-3 minute activity or skill development video based on wellness check-in data.
Data confidentiality for all of our users is of the utmost importance. Our application’s architecture is FERPA compliant by design, our data is all stored on dedicated FERPA and HIPPA compliant servers inside the United States, and we used industry standard encryption practices including SSL/TLS and more. And we do not ever share user data with marketers!
Please review our Privacy and FERPA policies for more detailed information.
Yes! We meet criteria for Tier-3 evidence based under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Please see the evidence tab for more information.
Additionally, we will be conducting experimental trials in Spring 2020 and randomized controlled trials in the Fall of 2020. We will update our evidence page as those studies progress.
No! Rhithm works quite well in both 1:1 and 2:1 classroom environments. We have several customers that are not in 1:1 or 2:1 environments, and we are consistently impressed with the innovative ways these partners are able to implement Rhithm in their classrooms. Please contact us for some best practices on implementing Rhithm in your unique technology environment.
Rhithm partners with Classlink and Clever to make setup a breeze. In a few clicks your IT department will be able to add Rhithm to your student, teacher, and admin portals and the app will be rostered automatically with no manual setup required. We currently only support integrations using these two providers. If your school or district does not work with Classlink or Clever, please reach out and request that we add your method to support@rhithm.app
We are always adding ways to make this process simple and will update this page as more options become available.
Rhithm is meant for all ages in K-12. Our emoji based assessment works whether you’re 5 or 55 because we all use the same emojis! Our algorithm intelligently adapts content to the appropriate age group automatically, so you don’t need to buy multiple solutions for different age groups! Our activities are designed to be entertaining and useful for teachers as well, allowing teachers and students to learn and grow together.
Yes! Teachers’ mental and emotional states matter too! We encourage campus Principals and Counselors to send Rhithm assessments to staff, though teachers participation is certainly optional. Principals and district admin staff have access to teacher self-reported assessment data.
Moving forward is simple! Reach out to us through our website, send an email to team@rhithm.app, or click here to fill in your information and we will reach out with next steps. Generally it goes like this:
Step 1: Complete a Customer Agreement (payment can be remitted at completion of this agreement or at appropriate budget cycles. We understand those constraints so as long as we agree together we can get started and take care of payment at your school or district’s typical intervals)
Step 2: Tell your IT department you’ve decided to partner with Rhithm and request they add Rhithm to your school or district’s classlink/clever portals.
Step 3: Receive all necessary training materials from us and/or schedule a 30 minute Zoom training session. (Rhithm is pretty simple so it doesn’t take much time to learn how to use it. We know your teachers are busy!)
Step 4: Start getting in Rhithm!

Our wellness check-in tool is the same for all students, with one exception: campus leaders have the discretion to use a simplified, shorter version of the check-in tool based on their students’ age and individualized needs. Rhithm strives to be an inclusive application for all K-12 students regardless of age and abilities.
